Talking Twaddle with Leonie Dawson: Behind the Mic & Out of My Own Way
Behind the Mic: A Little Chaos, a Lot of Fangirling, and a Podcast Episode a Year in the Making
I was so nervous about this interview.
The first two minutes I honestly thought it was a scam.
On the replay, you can hear me—not really processing Leonie’s words—just grinning and trying to keep up.
And here’s the truth: I’ve had this interview for a year.
Like my favourite stickers that are too special to actually use, I didn’t know what to do with it. I had plans—big ones. A summit, a virtual conference… I wanted to make it a headliner moment.
But I psyched myself out. Then the shame crept in.
Then I sat in it. For months.
Until I hit the “f*ck it” point, booked 7 more interviews, and finally got out of my own way.
Yes, I fan-girled. Yes, I wore makeup. Yes, I’m still mildly embarrassed.
But I’m also incredibly proud to be releasing this episode into the wild.
Because it deserves to be here. And so do you.
